After two protests recently took place in Carolina several protesters handed themselves over to Carolina Police on 10 July after buildings were burnt.
A meeting will take place between Chief Albert Luthuli Municipality’s Cllr Dan Nkosi, mayor, the municipal manager and community leaders on 1 August.

According to Const Thabang Mokwana, spokesman for Carolina Police, community leaders want Cllr Nkosi to meet the community and respond to their demands from the memorandum.
