Davel Police clean houses for Mandela Day

Davel Police were joined by the Community Policing Forum (CPF), the Simelokuhle Youth Organization and the Youth Crime Prevention Desk on 18 July to do their part for the 67 minutes for Mandela Day.

They decided to celebrate this day by cleaning the homes of elderly people in Kwadela in Davel.

According to Const Portia Dhladhla, spokesman for Davel Police, the first household belongs to an elderly man who lives alone.

Const Dhladhla said: “We cleaned and painted his house and served him lunch.”

The second house belongs to an elderly couple.
