Each year this group, that includes Ridge Times, His Way Family Church, welfare organisations and individuals, United Motors and many other businesses, get together to reach out on Mandela Day, 18 July.
SECUNDA – Come enjoy good food, great company, fun competitions and even carol singing in the food court at Secunda Mall.
Oregon Spur is joining forces with a several organisations and businesses, including Ridge Times, to bring Christmas in July to residents of the Govan Mbeki municipal area.
The reason behind this event is to raise money for this year’s Mandela Day project.

Treasure Hunters Care Centre in eMbalenhle is this year’s project.
This small crèche provide day care and pre-school education for kids from impoverish families.
There is a huge need for a Wendy house, toilets, building materials, stationary and toys.
The Xmas in July evening will take place on Monday, 15 July from 5pm to 9pm. Spur is giving a percentage of that night’s profit towards the Mandela Day initiative.
There will also be pop-a-balloon event with awesome prizes to win.
