Motorist injured when lump of coal from truck smashes through windscreen near Bethal

BETHAL – A motorist sustained minor head injuries when a lump of coal fell off a coal truck and smashed through the windscreen of his car this afternoon, 4 July.

The incident happened about 35km from Bethal on the Middelburg road at about 2.50pm.

Ms Cindy Swart from Bethal EMS said the motorist sustained injuries to his forehead.

Bethal EMS transported him to Bethal Hospital.
