TRICHARDT – A farmer and his employee discovered the body of an unknown man on the farm Grootvlei near the Road to Twistdraai Mine in the Trichardt area today, 12 June.
According to Const Valencia Koma, spokesman for Trichardt Police Station, the charred remains of the African male was found with the grass burned only in the area around the spot in which the body was found.
The cops suspect that the man died sometime during the night or early morning.
“At this stage we have opened an inquest to determine the cause of death, ” said Const Koma.
Police are appealing to anyone with information that could assist in solving this case or to help identify the deceased, to contact investigation officer detective warrant officer Harrison Skhumbuzo Fakude at 082 465 2364.
