Bring in the blankets to help the needy in the Govan Mbeki municipal area

We invite all organisations to join hands with us to turn this into a community drive to help those less fortunate

HIGHVELD – Bring a blanket and warm up the hearts and hands of the less fortunate.

Ridge Times, in conjunction with Dr Suess Daycare, is running a blanket drive to help needy people warm up this winter.

There is a huge need in the area for blankets, warm jackets and clothes for all ages.

Welfare organisations all have their hands full with cases of people with nothing to guard them against the coming cold.

Dr Suess Daycare asked their parents to donate all their old winter clothes and blankets to the school from where it will be distributed to the needy.

Blankets that are no longer fit for human use, can still be donated for animal care.

You can drop off your donations at Ridge Times’ offices on the corner of Nelson Mandela Drive and Pieter Wenning Street or at Dr Suess Daycare at 12 Outeniqua Street.

We invite all organisations to join hands with us to turn this into a community drive to help those less fortunate.

Contact Arisja Misselhorn at 083 780 0060 or Ms Merise Wendelstadt at 072 554 6156.

Learners from Dr Seuss Daycare are actively collecting blankets for our blanket drive.
