Petros Ndlangamandla to compete in his 16th Comrades Marathon

This will be his 16th year to complete the marathon and he is looking forward in doing so with his younger brother, Mbongiseni Ndlangamandla.

Petros Ndlangamandla (53) have his mind set on a silver medal at this year’s Comrades Marathon.

“Although we do not have the same parents our surnames connects us as brothers,” Petros Ndlangamandla said.
They recently participated in the annual Pongola Sugar Cane race and were there to grab the last chance to qualify for the iconic Comrades marathon, that will take place on Sunday 9 June.
Petros completed the race in 3:18:23 (batch B) and claimed the first prize in the masters category (50 years +). Mbongiseni surprised everyone including himself when he finished in 3:58,43 (batch D) at his first attempt to qualify.
He recently founded his second marathon club, Conquerors Athletic Club, in the outskirts of Ermelo.
