MEC’s Excellence Awards for 2018/2019 held at Nooitgedacht Research Farm

By participating in the competition, she presented her work and initiatives in improving the livestock health and handling of the cattle at Botleng Township.

Ms Nompumelelo Nkonyane was recently awarded the Best Implemented Project of the Year at the awards held at Nooitgedacht Research Farm.

Upon resuming her duties at the municipality, she was allocated to work at Botleng Township with cattle farmers whom she identified as unprivileged, as they cannot benefit from other departmental programs due to their location.

She assisted the farmers with proper healthcare and advised them to build their handling facility with the available resources, in order to improve the management of the cattle, during brand marking and vaccination.

She is now looking forward and preparing for the national competition.
