Join hands with Ridge Times and Dr Suess Daycare to collect blankets for the needy

We invite all organisations to join hands with us to turn this into a community drive to help those less fortunate

HIGHVELD – Bring a blanket and warm up the hearts and hands of the less fortunate.

Ridge Times in conjunction with Dr Seuss Daycare have decided to begin a blanket drive to help needy people warm up this winter.

The winter is slowly creeping up on us and the chill in the air could already be felt the past week with temperatures steadily dropping.

There is a huge need in the area for blankets, warm jackets and clothes for all ages.

Welfare organisations all have their hands full with cases of people with nothing to guard them against the coming cold.

Dr Seuss Daycare asked their parents to donate all their old winter clothes and blankets to the school from where it will be distributed to the needy.

Blankets are no longer fit for human use, can still be donated for animal care.

You can drop off you donations at Ridge Times’ offices on the corner of Nelson Mandela Drive and Pieter Wenning Street or at Dr Seuss Daycare at 12 Outeniqua Street.

We invite all organisations to join hands with us to turn this into a community drive to help those less fortunate.
