SECUNDA – The Secunda Police are searching for two men in connection with the murder of Mr Pule Mokhoera, a security guard who worked at the Secunda Nursery in 2016.
Mr Mokhoera was attacked at the nursery on the night of 30 August 2016.
Four men overpowered him at about 7pm. He was struck over the head with a cement sculpture, stripped of his guard uniform and then dumped and left for dead in the veld behind Secunda Nursery.
The criminals then tried to break into the nursery, but the alarm sounded. One of his assailants dressed into Mr Mokhoera’s uniform and when armed security officers arrived on the scene, he told them that all was in order.
The security guards doubted the story and Mr Mokhoera’s attackers fled.
Mr Willie Moll, owner of Secunda Nursery, and security personnel searched for Mr Mokhoera. He was found only the next morning in the veld, covered with a coat.
Mr Mokhoera died in the Muelmed Hospital in Pretoria on 2 September.
The Secunda Police were able to construct identikits of two of the men who were involved in the attack on Mr Mokhoera.
Both men are described as slender, of medium build and between the ages of 20 and 25.
Anyone with information on the identities and whereabouts of these men, are asked to contact the Secunda Police Detectives at 017 624 2020.
