Protest keeps Osizweni Secondary School learners out of school

The learners said they will continue with the protest until these matters are resolved.

eMBALENHLE – Teaching and learning was disrupted at Osizweni Secondary School by disgruntled learners who are protesting over long teaching hours today, 10 April.

The learners are not happy that school begins at 8am and closes at 3:15pm and at that time there are no buses to take them home.

They said the school buildings are dilapidated and parts of the classroom ceilings are dropping from the roof, posing a danger to them when they sit inside.

The also complained about the bad condition of the tuck shop and that they have to drink dirty water from the jojo tanks.

The learners said they will continue with the protest until these matters are resolved.
