Residents might experience loadshedding – 11 March

According to the press release, this is as a result of a shortage of capacity due to the loss of generating units at Eskom’s power stations.

Eskom issued a press release and said there is a high risk of rotational loadshedding for today, 11 March.

However, it will only be implemented if absolutely necessary.

According to the press release, this is as a result of a shortage of capacity due to the loss of generating units at Eskom’s power stations.

The press release further stated: “We continue to encourage residents and businesses to use electricity sparingly during this period.

“Please switch off geysers as well as all non-essential lighting and electrical appliances to assist in reducing demand.

“Eskom will provide regular updates about the state of the power system through various media platforms.”

Eskom further advised consumers to keep checking the loadshedding schedules on Eskom, or the municipality’s websites and plan on the assumption that load shedding will take place.
