Six foreign nationals in custody after they were found with stolen goods in Kinross

Kinross Police urge the public to claim stolen goods

KINROSS – The local police urged the community who have been victims of burglaries and theft to visit the police station to claim their goods.

This came after six foreign nationals were found with a bounty of goods (old and new) in two vehicles. The men are in police custody.

The police suspect that the items could be linked to the increase in burglaries in the area.

Most of the foreign nationals did not possess passports or documentation and are believed to be in the country illegally.

Included in the recovered bounty are: 18 bicycles, two tool boxes, a refrigerator, two car batteries, 11 chairs, four mattresses, three plasma televisions, speakers, 22 travelling bags, 11 cell phones, a Gazebo, garden tools, 18 blankets, and a lot more.

Should you be the owner of an item that has been stolen, take proof (eg: a receipt) with you to the police station to claim your goods.
