Criminals steal televisions and laptops in Bethal

Bethal CPF urge residents to be vigilant

BETHAL – Several cases of house burglaries were reported in Bethal between 4 and 10 February.

In one case in Simon Street, a television was stolen.

In Wocke Street, another television was stolen and in Mooi Street laptops were stolen.

A housebreaking with unknown intention occurred in Wicht Street in the early hours of the morning and nothing was stolen as the alarms disturbed the thieves and scared them off.

One case of attempted burglary occurred at a business premises in Bethal and one suspect was arrested after a burglary in Du Plooy Street.

The Selonica Cafe was robbed on Tuesday morning, 12 February.

One case of theft from a vehicle was reported, and the suspect was arrested in Wes Street.

The committee of Bethal CPF urged residents to make sure they have an alarm system that is activated at night.

Residents should report any suspicious activities to the police or Bethal CPF.

They encouraged residents to join the CPF patrol teams and to be more vigilant.
