Eskom issue power alert warning for 14 February – Stage 2

Eskom calls for 2000MW to be shed rotationally.

Loadshedding will continue today from 8am to 10pm, 14 February.

Eskom explained that it is due to a shortage of capacity and a last resort to protect the power system from a total collapse or blackout.

Eskom continues to appeal to its customers to treat all electrical points as live and switch off all nonessentials.

Loadshedding schedules are available on the Eskom website (https://loadshedding.eskom.co.za).

Should there be any further enquiries, customers are encouraged to contact the call centre at 0860 037 566.
