Residents of Secunda and surrounding towns organised a prayer event for victims of Hoërskool Driehoek in Vanderbijlpark.
This follows after a bridge collapsed at the school on Friday, 1 February and killed four learners and injured several.
Ms Lizelle Riekert of Oregon Spur, said the prayer event will take place on Sunday, 10 February at 5.30pm on the soccer field at Marietjie School in Secunda.
Ms Chantelle Prinsloo of Secunda Angels asked residents to take candles and lighters with and to dress in purple or yellow.
A R5 donation will be charged at the gate and the money will be used to help with medical bills and funeral costs.
“Let us take hands and show the love,” said Ms Prinsloo.
Everyone is welcome to attend the prayer event.
