GMM opens registration for needy homes subsidy

The scheme is aimed at subsidising electricity, water and refuse removal to needy households, including child headed households.

Households with a gross combined income of R3800 and below are invited by the Govan Mbeki Municipality to register to receive subsidised services.

In order to register, take the following documents:

• Certified copy of the breadwinner’s identification document.
• Letter of authority from the police confirming the owner of the property.
• Recent municipal account statement.
• Recent proof of salary.

Once you have the mentioned documents, take them to the following venues:

• eMbalenhle – eMbalenhle Fire Station
• Charl Cilliers Police Station
• Bethal/eMzinoni – Vukanini Primary School
• Leslie/Lebohang – Thusong Centre
• Kinross – Municipal Office in Extension 25
• Secunda/Evander – Secunda Main Office (Shell House)

The designated venues will be open every weekend in the month of February from 8am to 4pm.
