Fleeing burglars leave loot behind after smashing through wall at Markhams in Evander

The thieves left behind their loot consisting of two huge bags full jeans, a bag with watches and a bag containing cell phones

EVANDER – Police, Jelani Security and StratconRisk stopped burglars in their tracks at Markhams store early on Monday morning, 19 November.

The burglars gained access by entering a vacant neighbouring store and smashing a hole in the wall dividing the shops.

The Evander Police were alerted of a break-in at about 2am.

The burglars took off just as the police, Secunda Flying Squad, Jelani Security and StratconRisk arrived on the scene.

The thieves left behind their loot consisting of two huge bags full of jeans, a bag with watches and a bag containing cell phones.

The police are investigating the crime.
