Police apprehend Sakhile police officer and another suspect in connection with stolen vehicle

The owner’s vehicle was hijacked after two women, who he had given a lift, allegedly drugged him.

The Zululand Cluster Trio task team arrested a police officer from Sakhile and another man in Vryheid on 4 November in connection with possession of a stolen vehicle.

According to the Vryheid Magistrate’s Court,  Mr Tumelo Khanye (35) and Const Siphiwe Mdlalose (32) appeared in court on 6, 13 and on 19 November and were remanded on bail of R2 000 each.

According to Capt Fanie Nhlabathi, communications officer of the Standerton Police, the vehicle was stolen in Tshwane.
