LEANDRA – Sgt Isaiah Zwelibanzi Vilakazi took first place in the National Practical Pistol Championship.
Sgt Vilakazi of Leslie SAPS, Secunda Cluster, participated in the championship that was held at Moloto College from 14 to 19 October.
With 180 competitors divided into four categories, Sgt Vilakazi won first place with a gold medal in group D for newcomers.
Sgt Vilakazi urged more police officials to participate as only 11 police officials from Mpumalanga were representing the province.
He requested support from the community and potential sponsors.
The Leandra Police Station management congratulated and commended Sgt Vilakazi for his dedication and exceptional work.
