SECUNDA – The University of Stellenbosch Business School’s Mpumalanga Alumni Chapter (USB) will be having their annual general meeting on Thursday, 1 November at 6pm at the Rondekerk.
Mr Michiel Jonker, Director and Futurist in the advisory division at Grant Thornton, will be the speaker and will talk about geopolitical events in the world and how to make sense of them.
According to Ms Lizelle Kannemeyer, organiser of the event, geopolitical events affect the world in profound ways and it is like a chess game with a set number of possible actions to be pursued by nation states’ leaders.
“It is about hard realities and what states can and cannot control,” said Ms Kannemeyer.
“The actions of major players on the world scene determine the health of international relationships and, without a doubt, affects South Africa too.”
Anybody is welcome to attend the annual general meeting.
