HIGHVELD – A learner of a local high school who assaulted a bus driver, apparently appeared in court today, 14 September .
A recording of the Gr 11 boy beating down on the Megabus driver while the bus was still driving, is circulating on social media.
This incident allegedly happened on Tuesday morning en route to school.
Learners from various schools, including primary school children, were on the bus when the bus driver was attacked.
According to the school, a case has been opened at the police.
The boy has not been to school since the incident as he has been banned from Megabus, as well as the school’s bus.
Although this incident happened outside the school grounds, the school is also embarking on a disciplinary hearing.
