Solidarity members slows traffic down at Sasol

The management of Solidarity urged the public to support their strike tomorrow by wearing blue and not filling up their vehicles at any Sasol filling station.

As part of the trade union Solidarity’s slow strike that began yesterday, 3 September, the Solidarity members slowed down traffic to Sasol this morning.

They called this operation “verkeerfrustreer”.

This operation forms part of Solidarity’s strike to show their members’ disgruntlement with Sasol’s latest staff scheme, Khanyisa, where only black employees can benefit and not white employees.

Solidarity will hand over a memorandum to Sasol in Sasolburg tomorrow.

The management of Solidarity urged the public to support their strike tomorrow by wearing blue and not filling up their vehicles at any Sasol filling station.

The big strike will begin on Thursday, 6 September at 10am at Sasol’s main gate, Charlie 1, in Secunda.

Anybody from the public is welcome to join and support the Solidarity members.
