Standerton Police arrested three suspects on 14 August in connection with fraud who will apply for bail on 22 August.
Messrs Sibusiso Blessing Dube (23), Sibongiseni Shange (28) and Njabulo Nkululeko Mweli (26) made their first appearance in the Standerton Magistrate’s Court on 15 August.
According to Capt Fanie Nhlabathi, communications officer of the police, the suspects said they are employed as financial consultants in town.
Their alleged fraudulent scheme promises investors a 210% return in the space of 15 working days.
The police requested any alleged victims to contact them at 017 712 1250 or to speak to Capt Nhlabathi at 078 5830 371.
