Gert Sibande TVET College class of 2017 graduate at ceremony held at GSDM

A total of 186 students graduated and Ms C.N Mbethe performed the best with nine distictions and overall average of 77 percent in her field of office administration.

Gert Sibande College TVET College in Ermelo held their graduation ceremony at the Gert Sibande District Municipality’s mayoral parlour on Friday, 3 August.

The ceremony was held for students who completed their studies in the National Certificate Vocational (NCV) Level 4 fields.

The courses included office administration, finance and economics, electrical and civil engineering and primary health.

A total of 186 students graduated and Ms C.N. Mbethe performed the best by receiving nine distinctions and an overall average of 77 percent in her field of office administration.

Mr A.P. Vilakazi followed in second place, receiving four distinctions and an overall average of 72 percent in his field of electrical engineering.

The day was filled with felicitations from families and speakers, including the Ermelo Campus Manager, Ms Andri Steyn.

The one running theme from all speakers was words of motivation as the students now embark in the employment world.
