Emergency Services respond to accident early Friday morning in Ermelo
Reports received confirmed that three people were taken to the hospital for minor injuries and the fourth died later the day in hospital
The emergency services of Ermelo responded quickly to an accident that happened early Friday morning, 6 July.
The accident occurred at the corner of Joubert- and Church Street at about 7.30am.
According to some of the witnesses, Mr Gift Hleza from the traffic department responded quickly to the accident calling all the relevant emergency services and even driving to the Fire Station to get the Fire- and Rescue team to the scene.
Reports received confirmed that three people were taken to the hospital with minor injuries and the fourth died later the same day.
According to Capt Carla Prinsloo, spokesperson of Ermelo Police, allegations show that the bakkie drove in Church Street in the direction of Pick n Pay when it turned on Joubert
Street and collided with the white Quantum which was driving in the direction of Checkers.
The driver of the bakkie lost control of the vehicle and crashed into the Mazda at the traffic light.
