Two men were arrested on Tuesday, 14 June for the murder of Ms Hantie van der Vyfer (72) who was attacked on her farm, Welgelegen, in Chrissiesmeer on 27 February.
According to the Chrissiesmeer Police, the men were arrested in Ext 4 in Elukwatini after being found with items stolen from the farm.
“The men were caught after diligent work by the provincial organised crime unit with the assistance of Det Const Cliff Ndaba,” Chrissiesmeer Police’s spokesman, Const Malaza, said.
Nkosinathi Sibande (20) and Sibusiso Langa (22) appeared in the Ermelo Magistrate’s Court on 13 June on a charge of murder.
The case was postponed to 22 June.
