TRICHARDT – A car crash on the road between Trichardt and Kinross brought a crime to light this morning, 19 June.
According to Mr Alf Byleveldt of Jelani Security, they discovered stolen steel bars in the back of one of the vehicles involved in the accident.
The bakkie with the stolen cargo and another bakkie were involved in the light crash at about 6.30am.
Mr Byleveldt said the driver and passenger in the bakkie with stolen goods immediately ran away after the crash, abandoning their loot.
The occupants of the other vehicle were not injured. ER 24 was on the scene.
