Georgies impart character traits to Sizanani Day Care Centre

According to Ms Coetzee, the traits are used to help instil a positive school climate for learners and a culture of kindness, making school a safe environment.

Hoërskool George Hofmeyr shared the Six Pillars of Character with Sizanani Day Care Centre on 7 June.

The pillars are trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring and citizenship.

The learners spent time playing fun games with the young ones and also cleaned the community park nearby.

“We do not only want to convey the pillars, but want to embody them,” Ms Louise Coetzee, psychologist, said.

“Thank you to Megan Coutts from Wimpy who made this day possible through their sponsorship.”

According to Ms Coetzee, the traits are used to help instil a positive school climate for learners and a culture of kindness, making school a safe environment.

The values furthermore, are not politically, religiously or culturally biased.
