SPCA dealt a heavy blow

They need to raise R18 000 monthly to continue operating.

The Highveld Ridge SPCA with its branch in Standerton is in a quandary with regard to their financial situation.

According to Ms Jenneth Geel, senior inspector, the non-profit organisation has no cash reserves.

Apart from the 16 employees affected, which include from the manager to the cleaner, the much needed assistance to stray and needy animals is also dealt a heavy blow.

Ms Geel however, indicated that the staff are willing to work as volunteers for 30 days.

The SPCA has no outstanding debts, but the regular monthly expenditure has to be taken into account.

They need to raise R18 000 monthly to continue operating.

Anyone willing to help them surviving this predicament, can make a cash donation into their Absa, Standerton account, number 1031670922.
