UPDATE: Power restored in Evander

Evander Hospital was mostly affected.

[Update – 4 April 06:20] Electricity was restored at different times for the sections without power in Evander last night.

Some streets’ power returned from 7pm and by 10pm all the power was restored.

EVANDER – Govan Mbeki Municipality is working on restoring the power in Evander.

Cable theft is apparently the reason for the outage.

Evander Hospital is mostly affected.

Mr Hein Badenhorst, DA councillor, said repairs are estimated to take at least an hour.
