Terra Nova celebrates the opening of their mall in Trichardt

Entertainment and fun at the opening of the Village Mall

TRICHARDT – The Terra Nova Village Mall celebrated their official opening on 21 March with a big fanfare of music, drum majorettes, discounts and entertainment.

The day’s events began at the corner of the street that leads to the mall. This street is named after Mr Louis van der Hoven, the chief builder of the Terra Nova complex who died in July last year. His three children cut the ribbons around the name post in honour of their father.

After Mr André Boshoff from Terra Nova prayed, the Van der Hoven family and friends moved down to the stone pillars to the mall entrance to OK Foods.

Laerskool Trichardt’s speech choir delivered two items before Ms Thandi Shongwe, MEC for Culture, Sport and Recreation, and Ms Thandi Ngxonono, Executive Mayor of the Govan Mbeki Municipality, cut the ceremonial ribbon with the help from the little ones of Laerskool Trichardt.

Shoneill sang on stage for the visitors and drum majorettes from Laerskool Secunda, Goedehoop and Kruinpark rendered respective performances.

Most of the mall’s tenants had already moved in and were showing off their goods and services to curious shoppers exploring the centre for the first time.
