Extra-fitted LED lights on some vehicles might be illegal in Standerton

He said the LED light must have a separate switch from which it is operated.

A provincial traffic officer, Mr Selby Radebe, issued a stern warning during a recent Fire Protection Association meeting in Standerton regarding the LED lights mounted on vehicles

He warned that no fine will be issued, instead, the licence disk of the vehicle will be removed and the vehicle will be taken off the road.
According to him, a LED light must have a separate switch from which it is operated.
“The owner will then have to take the vehicle to the traffic department, where it will be tested again for roadworthiness,” he also said.
