Miss Inspire South Africa finalist inspires the community

“Campaigning has been difficult. It is not easy to motivate people to believe in your talent and to vote for you.”

eMBALENHLE – Ms Engrid Nkadimeng (23) entered the Miss Inspire Africa Pageant to extend her inspirational work in her community. She is a finalist.

Ms Nkadimeng is a business management graduate and is currently studying human resources at the Gert Sibande College in Evander.

She said she grew up in a positive family environment and that living with an extended family helped to nurture her inspirational personality. She was taught from a young age to always give back to the community.

She took part in local beauty contests, drama and athletics and loved to be the centre of attention as a cheerleader.

Ms Nkadimeng’s father left the family to pursue a life elsewhere. This altered Ms Nkadimeng’s view of life.

“I saw life in a different way. I had to dust myself off and become the role model that I knew I was.

“I learnt to be fierce, to give with no limit, to push myself beyond the limit and to be my own role model before I could inspire others.”

Throughout the pageant, Ms Nkadimeng had to do extensive community work to inspire others to give back to the community.

She is the co-founder of the Nceduluntu Child Foundation that donated sanity towels, shoes and uniforms to three primary schools in eMbalenhle.

“I saw the Miss Inspire Africa Pageant as the perfect platform to maximise my abilities.

“Being selfless is the first step to becoming inspirational.”

Ms Nkadimeng believes people tend to focus only on the negative things in their lives, rather than looking for suitable solutions to the problems.

She motivates people to talk about their problems and to find help.

“Take your pain and use it to nurture your hopes and dreams.

“Miss Inspire is the perfect stage to show how much love there is in your heart and how you can share it with the world as a whole.

“Campaigning has been difficult. It is not easy to motivate people to believe in your talent and to vote for you.”
