The manhunt follows the murder of a 41-year-old security guard, Mr Matome Machete, in the Letsitele area outside Tzaneen in December 2016.

Tzaneen Police spokesperson, Lt Col Moatshe Ngoepe, said the deceased was riding a bicycle along the Tarrentaal and Giyani Road near Bolobedu Cross, when he was stopped by five unknown men who were traveling in a motor vehicle with an unknown registration number.
