Local husband donates kidney to his wife

Ms Sparks battled with bladder infection and the couple found out in 2007 that both her kidneys were damaged and that she only has 20 per cent kidney function.

Mr Craig Sparks proved his unconditional love for his wife, Ms Beverley Sparks, when he donated his kidney to her on 29 September.

She had pain often and doctors said she would never be able to have children.

By the time Ms Sparks gave birth to their daughter, Trinity, she only had five per cent kidney function.

Trinity was born pre-mature and the fact that she and her mother survived the birth, is a miracle, as doctors said one of them would die at birth.
