[BREAKING NEWS] Two more alleged drug dealers arrested in Secunda

Members of DPCI Secunda Serious Organised Crime Investigation, Secunda CI and Middelburg Serious Organised Crime Investigation received information about two suspects who were dealing in drugs.

Members of DPCI Secunda Serious Organised Crime Investigation, Secunda CI and Middelburg Serious Organised Crime Investigation arrested two people for possession of drugs.

These included 426 clear zip bags of crystal meth, 131 clear small zip bag of KAT , 70 clear small zip bags of grinded KAT, 20 clear small zip bags of rock and uncut rock and uncut KAT weighing 109.5 grams, and seized a scale and a White Hyundai Getz, all to an estimated total value of R 300 000.

They received information about two suspects who were dealing in drugs.

They took swift action on Thursday, 31 August and conducted an operation at a residence in Secunda.

The suspects have been remanded in custody and police are investigating.

The suspects will appear in the Secunda Magistrate’s Court on Friday, 1 September.

DPCI Provincial Head, Maj Gen Zodwa Mokoena, said drugs are like a thorn to our country.

“Young and old behave the same because of drugs.

“The Hawks will work day and night to educate the public about the dangers of drugs and also to make sure that offenders are brought to justice.

Maj Gen Mokoena further urged the public to work with the police to bring about a crime-free community and to speak up when they know of crimes being committed.
