A protest on the N4 highway between eMalahleni and Bronkhorstspruit is affecting traffic in both directions.
The road is blocked from Ferrobank, close to eMalahleni all the way to Kusile Power Station.
Apparently the protest has become violent and a bus was set alight.
The road has also been blocked by coal.
Motorists are urged to avoid the area.
