Mr M Dlamini and Mr D.P Nkosi are tasked with taking the municipality to it's highest level.

Mandla Dlamini and Daniel Pitoli Nkosi are respectively the recently sworn in municipal manager and executive mayor of Chief Albert Luthuli Local Municipality.

Both born and bred in the Gert Sibande District, they are familiar faces in municipal and community circles.
Mr Dlamini has the adequate skills and is qualified to steer the municipality as he has numerous certificates to his name with a Masters in Business received from Queensland University of Technology in Australia to name a few.

He started his career at Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality where he held various positions, worked at Gert Sibande District Municipality as the Head of Corporate Services department and in October 2016 was seconded to Chief Albert Luthuli Local Municipality to act as Municipal Manager and eventually appointed officially in his current position on 1 May 2017.

Executive Mayor Mr Nkosi has the credentials to represent the people of Chief Albert Luthuli, having grown up in Tjakastad. After spending 15 years at the Department of Education, he was politically appointed as Chief Whip of the municipality, which led to him being appointed executive mayor.

A University of KwaZulu-Natal graduate, he holds numerous certificates and is politically connected to bring progress to the municipality. He has high hopes for the municipality, having just signed off on important projects that will bring relief to people of Albert Luthuli.

“Working together we can make Chief Albert Luthuli Local Municipality great,” says Mr Nkosi.
