CPF marches to Standerton Town Hall to voice disapproval of gender-based violence

Standerton residents in solidarity against violence and drug abuse

The Community Policing Forum (CPF) marched to the Standerton Town Hall on 27 June to protest against gender violence and drug abuse.

Gender-based violence and drug abuse have have been dominant in the crime statistics of South Africa.

The demonstrators, led by the police’s brass band, began at the Stanwest Hall.

A protester depicts the death of Ms Penelope Boikanyo who was allegedly killed by her partner.

“No God-fearing man can ever think of hurting a woman,” Rev Andrew Matsi of the Replika Church said.
