GMM home owners urged to inspect new supplementary valuation roll

Check your property’s value on the new supplementary valuation roll or risk facing increases in property rates and taxes.

Residents and home owners are once again urged to inspect the updated valuation roll of properties in the Govan Mbeki Municipality.

The valuation roll is available to be viewed on the municipal website at www.govanmbeki.gov.za and in rooms 307 and 309 at the municipal offices in Horwood Street in Secunda.

The period for inspection ends on Friday, 30 June.

Any owner of property or other persons who want to lodge an objection with the municipal manager in respect to a specific property appearing on this supplementary valuation roll, must do so on the prescribed form which is available at www.govanmbeki.gov.za or in rooms 307 and 309 at the municipal offices in Horwood Street, Secunda, the municipal offices in Chris Hani Street in Bethal and the municipal offices in Shaka Maseko Road in Leslie.

The original correctly completed objection form must be put in an envelope marked Notice 44/2017 – Supplementary Valuation Roll: 2 Objections.

It must be sealed and addressed to The Municipal Manager, Planning and Development (Property Section), Private bag X1017, Secunda 2301

The envelope can be posted or deposited into the official tender box at the entrance of the northern wing of the municipal building in the Secunda CBD.

It can also be handed in at the Bethal or Leslie municipal offices mentioned above.

No telephonic enquiries, faxes or emails will be accepted.
