Body of missing man found in Evander river

Evander Police, divers and the Secunda K9 Unit found the body of a man, who was reported missing, in a river on Wednesday afternoon.

The man (30) was reported missing on 14 June. Police found his ID, driver’s licence, bank cards and work clothes next to a tree beside the river.

Police also found containers used to boil water and a cold fire place.

A silver Nissan NP 200 bakkie was found 500 metres away from the river where the clothes were found.

Police are investigating the cause of death.
