eMbalenhle Police nab man and friend who wanted to bribe officers

eMbalenhle Police arrested two men aged 33 and 44 for bribery and attempting to defeat the ends of justice.

They are expected to appear in the Evander Magistrate’s Court soon.

They wanted the police to destroy a murder docket.

One of them is accused of stabbing 26-year-old Bolly Nkosi to death on 24 January this year.

Tsitsi Patric Majara was arrested on the same day and was charged with murder.

He was released on a warning.

Early this month, Majara contacted the investigating officer and requested him to dispose of the docket.

Majara and his friend visited the police station on 25 May to finalise their deal with the investigating officer to dispose of the docket.

The suspects handed over R5 000 and were arrested.
