Sihlali (28), arrested for the murder of Ms Issie Dippenaar in November 2016, appeared in the Ermelo Magistrate’s Court today for a bail application hearing
He’s facing charges of murder with aggravated circumstances and attempted murder.
He requested that the court grant him bail and to consider among others the following exceptional circumstance.
‘That he’s unable to sleep in a prison bed because of the injuries he sustained during his arrest.’
The case has been postponed to 9 June 2017, pending instruction from the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP).
The accused remains in custody.
