Chrissiesmeer Police found the body of a man in the middle of the road between Chrissiesmeer and Carolina in the early hours of last Saturday morning.
Det Maredi of Chrissiesmeer Police said that a 40-year-old male was found with a head wound and his throat cut open.
A murder case has been opened and the police are appealing to anyone with information to come forward, as the body is yet to be claimed.
The male was wearing a black Orlando Pirates Football Club team jersey with black jeans, grey track top, black shoes and a black Adidas wristwatch.
