Three armed men shoot shop owner

A foreign national shop owner is fighting for his life at Evander Hospital after an armed robbery at his shop in Ext 20, eMbalenhle.

According to the police the victim was with his colleague when three armed men stormed into the shop.

They pointed firearms at them and demanded money.

It is alleged the victims gave them the money, but the robbers demanded more.

They shot one victim in the thigh and assaulted the other who also sustained injuries.

The suspects fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of money and airtime.

Police were on the scene and no one has been arrested yet.

Both victims were admitted to Evander Hospital.
