Tavern owner’s case removed from the court roll

Mr Majaji Motaung, a tavern owner’s murder case, has been removed from the the court roll for further investigation.

He appeared in the Standerton Regional Court on 16 February.

Mr Motaung allegedly gunned down the late Mr Jabulani Mosia at Emoyeni Tavern on 5 March last year after a fight broke out between the late Mr Mosia and a security guard at the tavern.

Four men took him to the Standerton Hospital in a private vehicle after the incident occurred.

According to the police, a nurse at the hospital declared him dead before the police arrived at the hospital.

They confirmed that he only had one gunshot wound to the left side of his stomach.

The suspect was granted R1 000 bail on 11 March last year.

Mr Mosia was laid to rest on 12 March.
