A woman was allegedly raped when she was on her way to a relative’s house in Ext 4 recently.
According to her, the man who raped her is not known to her.
She said she passed the man on her way to her uncle’s place and he asked to accompany her, but she refused.
The woman said she told the man that her father was waiting for her at the corner.
According to the complainant, she decided to take a shorter route to her relative’s house.
Apparently the man followed her and raped her.
She said she told her uncle the following day and they reported the incident to the police.
A rape case was opened and the Sakhile Police are investigating.
