SECUNDA – The Society for Automation, Instrumentation, Measurement and Control, (SAIMC) Secunda branch selected a new committee on Thursday, 19 January.
Three new committee positions came to term and many members were re-elected.
“We would like to thank our members who put themselves forward for election.
“Standing for election can be a somewhat thankless task.
“The well-being of our society critically depends on our leading members to stand for election.
“We greatly appreciate the efforts and service which these members offer our society.
“We thank our outgoing members, Mr Alan Docherty, Mr JP Phala and Ms Marita van den Berg for all their efforts, hard work and contributions during last year,” said Mr Johan Maritz, re-elected chairman.
Ms Xandri Cornelissen is the secretary, Mr Gerhard Swarts is the treasurer and Mr Rickus Kriel is the vice-chairman.
