24-year-old found dead near transformer in Trichardt

TRICHARDT – Const Valencia Koma, Trichardt Police spokesman, said a 24-year-old man was found dead next to a transformer in Schabort Street in Trichardt yesterday.

A member of the community informed the police that the man was lying next to the transformer.

“On their arrival, the police summoned an ambulance, and the man was certified dead by paramedics,” said Const Koma.

“The deseased came to the station ealier and was looking for directions to Schabort Street.

“He said he was from Govan Mbeki Municipality and was responding to a complaint regarding electricity.

“The cause of death is still unknown and the police are investigating.”
